I was wondering how many of you knows where my hometown is situated ... I live in Solec Kujawski and this year in June it will be 680 years old. Pretty much, huh? Many times it was burnt by Germans and Swedes but now it's quite nice. I was trying to find some websites in English but there was only one. Take a look: http://www.panorama-miast.com.pl/51/HTML/solecang.htm. This is really small town, here live only 16 thousand people... but I like it. Here I live since my birth! Here lives whole my family!

Sylwia sent me pictures from Warsaw and also Nicholas' pictures from Toruń! They are beautiful! Just look... and again all the memories came back!

French team in Poland

These few days with French team (Marion, Renaud & Nicholas) and Polish band (Sylwia, Rafał & Filip) were so great!! I will write some sentences, of course it's impossible to describe all .

Tuesday: I met the French in front of Palace of Culture. How did they know how to get there? They looked the same as in Rovaniemi!! Then we saw Sylwia, we went to her place... Big surprise was when we turned on TV. "Pascal Express"! This is programme hosted by French guy speaking Polish. Marion, Nicholas & Renaud were laughing because he sounded French but they didn't understand it at all!

We went to the Old Town to eat some Polish food. Delicious dumplings! In the evening... party - first at home, then in "Indeks" and "Underground".

Wednesday: in the morning I had to see Aneta because Sylwia and Filip (her friend) had to go to work. Getting up at 8 a.m. after party wasn't too good idea .... when I arrived to Aneta's place I fell asleep immediately! With guys I met in the afternoon. First we sat in SGH (the best school of economics... unfortunately not mine), then we went to Library of Warsaw University. But not for reading books - you can also have beer there and sit and chill... In the evening - party!

Thursday: again we had to get up early because we had a train at 10 a.m. Yes, I mean us because Renaud, Nicholas and Marion decided to visit Torun (city where I study). That was great idea!! Together with Gosia (another girl from Poland whom we met in Rovaniemi) we booked a room for the French... We were sightseeing the Old Town, eating something (the best were pancakes with meat or sweet friuts!). They also saw our university. I think they liked Torun, my hometown . Aaaah... no parties in the evening because they had to be in the room before 10 p.m. (this was Pilgrim's House).

Friday: and so they left... in Warsaw they wanted to see the concert of Polish rock band. But earlier we ate pancakes , mmmmmm..... great! I was quite sad when we said goodbye... but I promised to visit them in France. Guys, Grenoble, Le Blanc and Paris are not so far away from Poland!!

going to Warsaw!

On Tuesday I'm going to Warsaw! On this day the French team from Rovaniemi (!!) is coming to Polish capital. I'm going to meet all of them: Nicholas, Marion and Renaud, and of course Sylwia and Rafał. I don't know yet how is it all going to be, where and when are we meeting.. but I'm excited and for now I don't care about the details.

In Warsaw I will also meet Aneta, my best friend from primary school. Actually, I'll spend night at hers . But we are only friends, ha ha!! Nothing will happen (...well, I guess!) although she's living on her own, alone...

Today I've talked to Sylwia, and she scared me a little. She said that I shouldn't come back to Aneta alone at night because Warsaw can be dangerous. But what about my good luck?? Maybe I'll take a taxi...

I'm going to come back home (to Solec) on Thursday. Yes, it will be great! I can feel it!
