    wisdom

It was difficult experience for me. On Monday I started to feel that something strange was happening to my mouth and a half of my face. When I opened the mouth I felt terrible pain. Eating something seemed impossible. At first I thought I ate something dirty and I had infection inside the mouth. In the afternoon it became to be worse... Strong headache - because I was hungry. Sore throat, feeling cold. Oh my God, I was the poorest creature in the whole world. I could hardly speak - while the voice is the most important tool in my job!
I called Calvin, I asked for help... In the evening we went to the hospital. I felt so dizzy! And it turned out that... I have a new tooth! The wisdom tooth! Why is it so painful?   Horrible feeling.
I was in the hospital until 3 am. I was so tired and weak.
And the following day I got the second drip. It took so long time! Of course I could speed it up but then it would be more painful. Taking the medicine is always unpleasant.
Good news? Yes, today I feel much better and I have symetric face again.

    moon song

    You sleep so beautiful
    There's silence everywhere
    No need to talk more
    Let the moon continue
    You sleep, I try
    To breathe the whisper
    Bedclothes still smell
    With our bodies' fire

Someday I'll find a home for us
With a big view on the world
You'll start to trust me again
I won't let you be scared
    Someday we'll turn
All the black days into a joke
    You'll trust me again
    Sleep now

I know, I know it well
I can hurt as no-one can
    I'm sorry
I don't know what to do when you cry
You don't smile like earlier anymore
    Everything is different
I ask you one more time
    Give me the last chance

    [for all lost souls]

    hot, hot, hot

It's been very hot recently. Today we have about 35 degrees, yesterday it was 2 degrees more!  I'm experiencing the hottest days of my life but as local people say, it will be even hotter. Actually, I can't imagine it!
I have some problems with clothes, haha! When I wear a shirt made of nylon or something not natural, I'm immediately sweaty. And I look like I was wet... straight from the shower. Bleh.
However, it's not as bad as I thought. I even think that some Chinese people suffer more than me!
I have more lessons. Summer is a peak-season for learning English so many teachers are needed now. It's so good to stay in the school! - there's air conditioner there... Yes, summer is crazy.

    Qingdao

I have to admit - I am busy. These days there are exams for universities and many highschool graduates want to practice English. So I'm spending long hours in schools... but it doesn't mean I don't like it. But indeed, I'm tired in the evenings. I almost forgot that I've been to Qingdao!! The trip was very short, only 50 minutes by plane. The city is very far away from the airport, it takes more than one hour to get there. Generally I felt very great. Everybody treated me like a businessman... They even admired saying: "oh, you're so young and you're businessman going on business trips!" Haha, and the same was in the hotel. I asked politely if I could use the computer somewhere - and they said they would bring it to my room! Wow, what a service. It's so good to be a foreigner in China, my friends told me that if I were Chinese, probably I wouldn't get a computer.

I had a nice dinner with Fuling, a woman from a company I visited. She introduced me to her family. For the first time I ate snails. Well, it's not the most delicious dish in the world, haha. I also saw the sea!! Yellow Sea - but not with yellow water.

I had to come back to Hangzhou the next day. Before the flight we visited the port in Qingdao. Oh, it's so huge, like a city in the city! I guess it's the biggest port in China. Incredible what a man can build.

Generally the trip was successful. My first business trip... To be a businessman - COOL!

    goodbye, Worldcup

And Poland lost the second match in Worldcup - with Germany, 0:1... Goodbye, players, it's time to go home. Oh, I forgot, there is also the third game, with Costarica, but I guess without any meaning.
I'm extremely busy. Hope I can do everything I planned earlier. I promise I will try. Everyone should be better everyday. And despite the Worldcup failure I tell you: life is wonderful.

    just look!

Just look at my cat! Isn't it beautiful? So proud to be a cat...
    Animals are great.

    lost match

I didn't see the football match of my team yesterday. And I don't regret it. It's not pleasant to watch when your national team is losing. Poland lost 0:2 with Ecuador. Well, we play football as always. Polish football fans are depressed and angry. Polish newspapers are full of caustic comments. "Are those players men or not??" "Disgrace!!" "They played like fools!"
It's a pity, perhaps we lost a chance to go out of the group. Kai said: "Don't lose hope"... Yes, hope always dies as last.

    not busy at all

    I'm not busy at all!
Today I had interview in a language training center. Looks like they want me to teach for some time! Oh, fantastic, the lessons should emphasize the talking about various things. I like it so much and feel very excited!
    I'm not busy at all!
I contacted local magazine in Hangzhou. There was an advertisement that they are looking for writers... I like writing so I sent them an article. Nice editor, Serene, invited me to the editorial office to talk to me. Funny, she was sure Chris is a female name!!  Will I be a journalist? That was my dream when I was in highschool... Dreams can come true. But I should wriite some articles... it would be good if I wrote every week.
    I'm not busy at all!
I can have as many English corners about football as my students want. Next weekend and the following I will prepare the "World Cup Special" one more time. World Cup begins today. Poland will play with Ecuador - I keep the fingers crossed for my team!
    I'm not busy at all!
I'm going to Qingdao on Monday. It will be my first business trip - I will pay a visit to one Chinese company which I found earlier this year - I was working in a moto-wholesaler, remember? Today I bought tickets. Oh, Oliver, how could I survive without your help? Thanks so much!
    I'm not busy at all!
Next week I will have interview in one more school, they need a Business English teacher. Who knows, maybe I can find a job also there.
Well, well, who said I'm busy??

    digital camera

Thanks to Oliver and his friends (Sam and Nora) I bought a digital camera. Finally! I can make pictures by my own. I made some photos in the city... sometimes I will put them here.
Check them out - that's how the life in Hangzhou looks like. Of course this is only a part of the life...

    top?

    Small talk:
    - I attended your class today. (...) I like to attend the class, teacher and students can enjoy the class together.
    - And today the most students attended my class... the most ever!!
    - You will adapt well in near future. It is very common especially on weekends.
    - Yes. One of the students told me she came to see me.... hahaha!
    - I like teachers who could prepare something in advance.
    - I usually prepare something.
    - Hehe, I saw your notebook.
    - Yes! Soon it will be full.
    - Great! The top teacher in the school! The prize should be given to you at the end of the year...

    Yemen

There is a World Leisure Expo exhibition in Hangzhou. Janice, my sweet student, invited me there, we went to see it on Monday. Well, quite nice place but rather for children than me, hehe. A lot of appliences to play and win teddybears... round-abouts which can make you twisted.. There are also shops related to many countries. We've been to Kenya, India (Janice works there), Nepal, Germany, Yemen... In the latter one we met two guys. I've been learning Arabic for some time so I started to say something. That was it!! Mohammed and Abbas were very pleasant! And we were talking (later in English, of course) for a longer time. They told me they would like to settle down in China... of course if the business is OK. And when I told them I am an English teacher - they asked me to teach them! Wow!! You never know where you can find an opportunity for future! I agreed to teach them.
The first lesson was the following day. And yes, I have two new friends! I was very surprised that I can establish contacts so quickly. I suppose this has been the biggest change in my personality since I am in China. Unfortunately they said that recently the business has been not very well...
Just think - that's crazy: a Polish guy teaches English Yemeni men in China!!
