    dead city

    Holiday. The city is sleeping. The city is dead. The city is empty.
    It's raining, which gives me the hope that the weather will change soon, which means that... YES! that spring is near!
    These days I'm reading a lot.
    I brought here many books from Poland, I also bought many here, in Hangzhou. I'm going home in 2 months and I'm planning to take some books back. My mother also likes reading. We are alike.

     

    This book is about South America; about trip to Amazon jungle. Fascinating world of indigenous Indians... Unfortunately this world can disappear very soon. Who knows.. maybe it already did.

    Somebody told me I resembled Harry Potter. Is it just because of glasses? Hairstyle? Or maybe magic personality? Ha! Mr. Magic - that's my nickname.

    Spring (?) Festival

    Spring Festival? It's so cold and is getting even colder!
    Chinese New Year is coming. New Year's Eve is on Sunday.
    Heavy snow brought on by the coldest temperatures so far this year caused chaos for thousands of travellers in North China yesterday. The cold front, which started on Tuesday, has affected most parts of northern China and is expected to move south - to Hangzhou too! Oh god.
    Anyway - have a happy New Year!
    春节快乐！
    年年有余！
    I'm going to have one week off. Staying in bed, definitely, covered with a quilt. Or maybe two quilts.
    Reading books. Watching Friends again.
    Oh, I'm going to attend my friends' wedding - Nora and Sam's. It'll be held at the end of January, so I hope the weather will change. Into spring, of course!
